In March 2022, 30 UNFO-PLS anti-intrusion drainage systems were installed in Sant’Agostino Square and in other streets in the historical center of Salerno in Italy.
The results for citizens were visible and immediate, with a clear reduction in the presence of mosquitoes and other pests and animals, to the point that the city Mayor Vincenzo Napoli declared that the experimental phase can be considered concluded and that this urban hygiene service will soon be strengthened and extended, to protect the healthiness of the environments.
